New as a Country Area green bus in 1952 RLH 23 (MXX 223) has been privately preserved since 1967.  This view was taken on 10th May 1997 when it did a few journeys in service on the Upper Walthamstow - Walthamstow Central section of the present day 230 route during the Leyton Garage Open Day.  [ 1952 AEC Regent III 9613E6948 ] Photo © Peter Newman 1997 and used with permission.
